THE Department of the Agriculture (Mapa) is going to coordinate the works for evaluate the feasability of the creation of a new wheat output pole in the central region of the country. The proposal presented in the last week by the representative of the Program for the Development of the Triticultura State of Minas Gerais (Comtrigo), Lindomar Antonio Lopes, already was approved by the federal government. "The Map is going to assume the proposal and begin the works immediately. We are going to initiate a diagnosis that goes show ourselves the points of strangulation of each region", said Lopes. They are part of the program Bahia, Federal district, goiás, Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais. That last , will keep, there are three years a program of incentive to the output of wheat that already shows results. In that harvest the state should increase in 50% the output, reaping around 120 thousand tons.
Beyond the advantage logistics by be nearby the big centers consumers, lopes aims the productivity as a point in favor of the pole that will be created. "We have own ranges for him closed, two well definite stations and with 90% of the wheat irrigated we obtain a productivity 100% over the of the South Region", affirms.
